George III armorial silver basket, Charles Aldridge London, dated 1791, swing handle, pierced oval bowl on pierced base, engraved with Cholmondeley family arms, complete hallmarks; H11" L14" W9 1/4", and 20.4ozT

Provenance: New York collection

Other Notes: Thomas Cholmondeley, 1st Baron Delamere (1767-1855) was a British peer and Member of Parliament. Cholmondeley served as High Sheriff of Cheshire in 1792, and in 1796 was elected to the House of Commons In 1821 he was raised to the peerage as Baron Delamere of Vale Royal in the County of Chester.
