Rare book: Histoire Des Plantes Garidel, Pierre Joseph (1658-1737). HISTOIRE DES PLANTES QUI NAISSENT AUX ENVIRONS D'AIX et dans plusieurs autres endroits de la Provence. Aix: Joseph David, 1715. Engraved frontispiece after A. Bouisson and 100 engraved plates with captions, after Honore Blanc; 18th-century gilt calf.

Other Notes: Pierre-Joseph Garidel (1658-1737) was a medical doctor and Royal Professor of Anatomy at the University of Aix-en-Provence. He is known principally for the publication of the first systematic botany of Provence. It contains the original detailed description of Provencal grapes & wines.
