French silver flatware group early 19th century, threaded, comprising:
14 place spoons, L8 3/8"
17 dinner forks, L8" (together with 1 plated fork)
marked: French first standard .950 fineness marks; various maker's marks; some with bigornes/beak-iron mark; Total 85.3ozT (32pcs)

Provenance: Roger W. Powell Collection
Estimate $1,400-1,600

Condition statement: forks with wear to tines. scattered dings to spoons bowls, and some with age-typical wear to tips of bowls.
some pieces punched with owner's monograms to reverse of stem including 3 spoons & 5 forks "MV"; 6 spoons & 6 forks "VG"
