Pair German silver wine coolers, Georg Roth & Co Hanau, Germany, circa 1895, after model by Juste-Aurele Meissonnier for design of Louis Henri de Bourbon; floral festoons above chased Louis Henri de Bourbon armorial, above scene of Neptune on chariot pulled by beasts, flanked by mermaid and dolphin handles; elevated on pedestal base; each marked with pseudo-18th century French marks and charges; H9" W11", and 122.0ozT (2pcs)

Other Notes: This design was inspired by a 1748 publication by Meissonnier, illustrated on plate 58 in the OEUVRE DE JUSTE-AURELE MEISSONNIER; the wine cooler made in 1723 for Louis Henri de Bourbon, Prime Minister of France, under the reign of Louis XV from 1723 to 1726.
