Other Notes: Mrs. J. Amory Haskell (1864-1942) owned one of the largest and most distinguished collections of American furniture assembled in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Items of her collection are at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other noted museums. Park Bernet (Sotheby's) sold Mrs. Haskell's collection of over 7000 lots. This pair of chairs may have been part of that auction.

Condition statement: Old repairs. Nicks to feet. Structurally sound. Scratches and scuffs consistent with age and use.
