Other Notes: John Benjamin Heath (1790-1879) was the son of John Heath (1771-1785), merchant of Genoa, and grandson of Benjamin Heath (1704-1766) the great book collector. Heath was a merchant and foreign banker in London, and held various political positions including Baron Heath of the Kingdom of Italy 26 May 1867. Heath's collection of autographs was sold by Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge, in 1879, and in 1892 part of the Heath family library was sold by the same.
