oil on panel, framed, signed: one faintly inscribed and dated, lower left

    Condition:
  • Peacock: UV examination reveals inpainting and overpainting to clouds in the top left corner and specks of inpainting throughout sky and to the tail of the rightmost rooster, probably to cover flaking paint.

    Chickens: wear along bottom and left edges with some losses, light overpainting and inpainting along left and top edges along with small spots throughout sky, probably to cover flaking paint.
