American coin silver five-piece tea service, Wm. Gale & Son New York, dated 1850, ornate floral-chased, engraved with architectural vignettes and armorial-decorated suite, with motto: Vinco Veritate; comprising:

marked: Wm. Gale & Son, 116 Fulton Street, New York, date mark.
Total 122.5oz troy (5pcs)

Provenance: Estate of Michael M. Finefrock, Charleston, South Carolina.

    Condition:
  • Vacant cartouches on verso; kettle in good condition with repaired insulators and no burner (probably never had one); teapot, covered sugar and creamer with small dents throughout; waste bowl in good original condition; all pieces with normal wear and scuffing consistent with age and use.
