American figural copper weathervane 19th century
molded and wool texturized ram body on original rod with verdigris patina; probably made by Cushing & Sons, Waltham, Massachusetts.
H78" W28 1/2"
Provenance: Descended in the Bascom family of Vermont and Massachusetts. This weathervane was removed in 1970 from atop a 200 year old farmhouse located in Farmingham, Massachusetts and stored until now.

Natural weathered finish. Appears that legs have been reinforced on horizontal bar, face has had restoration. Repaired puncture on neck. Stem orb with dents.
