Description:
American mahogany tall case clock, Gardiner Parker Westborough, Massachusetts, circa 1810
inlaid case of Roxbury form with pierced fretwork and arched bonnet, on waist with reeded quarter columns and base with ogee bracket feet.

Other Notes: Gardiner Parker was reputed to be an apprentice for Simon Willard.

Old surface, very nice hollow-cast finials with phoenix (may be original), painted dial in exceptional condition with signature, feet original with one rear foot pieced, side glasses in bonnet replaced, one piece of fretwork replaced. Overall good condition with minor imperfections; board attached to back of waist door to prevent warping. Movement is complete and in good order, however, we do not guarantee clocks to run once they leave our gallery.
