Description:

American mahogany three-part dining table, Pennsylvania circa 1800
rectangular molded top, central tilt-top section over columnar pedestal issuing four saber legs terminating in cups and casters, flanked by corresponding D-form banquet ends over scaled-down pedestals.

Provenance: Columbia, South Carolina private collection.

    Condition:
  • Old dark refinish, minor shrinkage cracks in top, minor scuffs and scratches to legs, minor chips and lifting to skirt veneer. Clips need adjusting to close slight gaps in top sections. Other minor imperfections consistent with age.
