Description:

American Sheraton cherry and bird's-eye maple chest of drawers, possibly New England early 19th century shaped scrolling backboard on plain-edged top over two short, one deep, and three stepped-back long drawers, flanked by ring-and-block turned legs and feet. (Several dark stains to top, repaired shrinkage crack to left side panel, overall wear consistent with age) H54 1/2" W46 3/8" D20 1/2" NOTE: Secondary woods are white pine and larch (tamarack); both have a principal range in New England as does bird's-eye maple.
