Baltimore red-leather miniature trunk, RM Hall circa 1827 rectangular hinged cover with brass handle on conforming body covered in fine leather, fitted with brass lock; covered interior with paper label RM Hall, 127 Baltimore Street, Baltimore, manufacturing trunks of every description for travelling, packing, and domestic use. (Good overall condition, with wear) H4 1/2" L11 1/4" D5 1/4" *Note: An artisan listed with MESDA, Hall had several partnerships, finally having his own firm. He is listed as a trunkmaker and saddler. With the small red trunk are two tags, one from the BALTIMORE & OHIO EXPRESS, with a legend handwritten on it. The other is from Flora Cole, giving the trunk as a gift.
