Description:

Boston Classical mahogany card table by Isaac Vose circa 1825
rectangular, tip-and-turn top with rounded corners on turned and fluted pedestal to circular base, supported by molded saber legs terminating in brass cups and casters.
H29 1/8" W36" D35 1/2" (open)

Provenance: Descended through the estate of Dora Gray, a well-known Columbia, South Carolina decorator from the 1930s to the late 1950s. Miss Gray 's home and shop was located at 1316 Gervais Street, on property now occupied by Trinity Episcopal Cathedral.

    Condition:
  • Refinished, very minor scratches to top surface, small veneer patch on base; very good overall condition.
