Boston Classical mahogany secretary bookcase circa 1820, in the French Restauration style, top section with flat top and frieze, molded cornice above two glazed doors flanked by tapering half-columns on lower section with rectangular top above conforming case fitted with large drawer over six recessed "cartonier configuration" side-by-side drawers, flanked by tapering half-columns, resting on short suppressed ball feet; the large drawer fitted with fallfront opening to reveal writing surface and arrangement of pigeonholes and birdseye maple-faced small drawers.
