Description:

Carved walnut two-weight Vienna regulator probably Germany or Austria, late 19th century, arch top with shell-carved pediment atop case with glazed door flanked by flat columns with carved bellflowers above shaped base with turned finials; the case housing two-weight time and strike movement with porcelain dial.

Provenance: Charlotte, North Carolina private collection.

    Condition:
  • no worm damage in case, very minor worm damage in pediment; top pediment probably a replacement; minor veneer loss on base; dial in excellent condition. clock is running in the gallery, however we do not guarantee time pieces once they leave the gallery.
