Adams Patent Navy Model revolver made circa 1857- 1861, SN 633; .36 caliber; 6"octagon barrrel; double action; 5-shot cylinder; solid frame; loading lever mounted on left side of barrel; sliding cylinder safety on right side of frame; blued finish; checkered walnut grips; marked on topstrap, "MANUFACTURED BY / MASS. ARMS CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS"; on left frame, "ADAM'S PATENT / MAY 3, 1858"; on right frame, "PATENT, / JUNE 3, 1856", loading lever, "KERR'S PATENT / APRIL 14th 1857"; stamped under barrel: P. CSA most likely used by a Confederate soldier, cased with bag flask, brass mold, Massachusetts Arms mold, cleaning rod, brush, and cap tin. (7pcs)

Other Notes: This well-made revolver was made before the war in America but used English patents. Manufactured by Massachusetts Arms, Co., Chicopee Falls, Massachusetts, many of them were bought by units of the pre-war Virginia militia. Only 1,000 were manufactured.
