Charleston coin silver salver, by John Mood early 19th century, circa 1825 a round form with foliate decorated rim centering coat of arms; raised on four small cartouche-form feet with rare circular mark. (Small dent to side of rim and minor warping to body). H1 1/4" Dia. 9", approximately 13oz. troy * Note: John Mood, a prominent Charleston silversmith in the early part of the 19th century. Working at various addresses on King Street between 1813-1864, including partnerships with his father Peter, Sr; and Peter, Jr. In 1852, John Mood exhibited at the Fair, brilliantly.
