Charleston sterling presentation covered tureen on stand dated 1856 domed oval cover with beaded finial/handle and Greek key rim, supported on bulbous ovoid body with gadrooned rim over Greek key band supported on scrolling dolphin feet and flanked by stylized dolphin-mask handles, on matching tray; tureen body engraved "Presented by the Stockholders of the Bank of Charleston, South Carolina to their late President Arthur Gordon Rose, Esqr, July 7th, 1856" and verso engraved with coat-of-arms with motto "Constant And True"; tray bearing same ornamentation and inscription; each piece with complete hallmarks of Henry Wilkinson & Co, Sheffield, 1856.
