Chinese Export covered sauce tureen with liner circa 1876 cartouche- shaped lid with American eagles bearing striped shields, branches and arrows above sepia-tone decorative bands; small oval shaped tureen with repeating sepia bands and floral sprays pink and brown, one floral spray in interior; liner with eagle and floral sprays, repeating sepia bands. Probably made for the American centennial celebration. (Small chips to lid handle and rims; one chip to liner rim restored.) L9in W6.5in *Provenance: Bearing the Harrod's label.
