Chinese Export Tobacco Leaf plate and bowl Qianlong Period (1736-95) octagonal rim on round body enamelled in iron-red, lime green, yellow, sepia, puce and gilt with Japanese-style man amongst hibiscus, flower sprays, and slender serrated leaves. (Plate with small rim flakes and hairline, bowl restored) Dia.8 3/4" and 8 1/2" *Reference: Compare the plate of this pattern from the CT Loo Collection, Paris, illustrated by M.
