Continental carved wood fireplace surround circa 1900 molded egg-and-dart valance supporting carved paterae, over pairs of carved and fluted columns resting on plinth bases and flanking three concave shell carvings; topping a mirror above a serpentine mantelpiece, on a carved corbel bisecting a floral-carved surround, trimmed with egg-and-dart molding.
