Blanche Ames inherited the service from her brother Butler Ames, who owned Villa Balbianello on Lake Como in Italy. This famous Italian villa has provided a beautiful setting for many films including "A Month on the Lake," starring Vanessa Redgrave and Uma Thurman, and the recently released James Bond 007 film,"Casino Royale."
