Early Russian silver tea service St. Petersburg, dated 1838-9
reeded bulbous form on pedestal base decorated with Rococo cartouches and rim design; marked: 84 standard, St. Petersburg assay of A.T. 1838 and 9; and maker's mark of J. Henrickson; comprising:
teapot, H8", covered sugar, H5 1/4"; creamer, H6".

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #78.33.171, 78.33.172, and 78.33.219)

    Condition:
  • Each slightly uneven on base; mother of pearl finials loose; ivory insulators with discoloration and hairlines; minor scuffing and rubbing; overall in very good, unrestored condition.
