circa 1899 fourteen karat tri-colored gold hunting case, the front centered by raised monogrammed shield-shape surrounded by floral and leaf engraving; the works marked Elgin Nat'l Watch Co., Ser.#8156111, white enameled face signed Elgin with black Roman numerals and second hand; on twelve karat yellow gold chain. Retail replacement value $1,000. (Watch in need of attention, hairline age cracks to face, case in very good condition with wear consistent with age, very small dent on lower right of reverse of case; chain in very good condition)
