English inkstand and oak lapdesk 19th century stand with hinged lid and base fitted for pens and ink, H6 3/4" W11" D7 5/8; desk with leather-lined writing slope and brass mounts, H5" W17 7/8" D8 3/4".

Condition:

Inkstand has veneer chips at top front corners and shrinkage cracks to veneer on sides of letterbox. Bottles appear to be replacements as there are matchstick-size shims in sockets. Lapdesk has nicks, scuffs and scratches consistent with age, in good condition.
