first quarter 19th century broken swan's-neck pediment centering a brass finial, over an arched and glazed door; clock face marked 'Jn Johnstone, Ayr.', works are eight-day movement with second hand and day date hand; corners canted and with scrolling capitals and terminals; case with corresponding corners and a bowed door trimmed with delicate applied finials, on a lower section with a recessed panel; raised on bracket feet. (Some cracking of veneer, slight separations at some molding miters, pediment is warped backward evenly, case possibly of a later date) H91 7/8" W20" D9 1/8"
