Description:

Federal inlaid mahogany writing desk circa 1810, rectangular superstructure with central door flanked by tambours concealing small drawers and pigeonholes, on stepped-out lower part with foldover writing surface and two long drawers, on tapered legs, H45" W36 5/8" D18 3/4".

    Condition:
  • Lacking escutcheon cover, one knob missing from tambour door. One pullout needs repair, but piece is present; stabilized shrinkage cracks across side panels. Nicks, scuffs and scratches overall.
