Painting has been professionally restored. Canvas support has been relined and includes a cutout to reveal original canvas stamp. UV light shows a repaired tear approximately 3"x3" square located at the left ear of the puppy on right, another repaired tear located in the upper left corner within folds of the drape measuring approximately 6", and small specks of retouching throughout. Frame of a later date in good condition with minor rubbing to gilding.
