Description:

Fine French gilt bronze and champleve mantel clock, Japy Freres late 19th century, U-shape case with urn finial above champleve-decorated frieze, porcelain dial flanked by painted porcelain panels signed "G. Maurice", and full columns; the case housing eight-day time and strike movement with simulated mercury pendulum.

Provenance: Camden, South Carolina private collection.

    Condition:
  • Scattered gilding losses, excellent overall condition including glass and porcelain panels, clock is running in the gallery however we do not guarantee timepieces to be operational after they leave the gallery.
