Description:

Fine French parcel-gilt bronze vase 19th century
gilt anthemion band on amphora-form vessel with applied design depicting lion emerging from cluster of oak leaves; supported by elongated lions paw feet and molded square base; probably designed by Ferdinand Levillain (1837-1905); and cast by Ferdinand Barbedienne, Paris (1810-1892).

    Condition:
  • Very good condition. The interior of top rim with minor oxidation and minor scuff as well as normal wear consistent with age. No evidence of alterations or restorations.
