Description:

Fine French silver serving tray by Turquet circa 1850
applied rocaille border inset with putti masks, centering rectangular engraved tray in the Rococo taste with engraved coat-of-arms of probably one of the Napoleonic titles; several punches and marks are present, the underside is marked with marker's mark of Pierre-Augustin Turquet over stamped mark: P. Marret, 19 Delapaix; top edge marked with French Made Export Mercury with lozenge mark, and Hare's Head return mark.

Provenance: Property from an Asheville, North Carolina private collection.

  • Very good condition. Marks are tiny, sorry can not provide images. The tray is only marked as listed above. It is not footed. Arms are period.
