Fine Japanese brass mounted lacquer chest Meiji period circa 1880 a rectangular shape with intricately etched brass hinges and mounts; there are two shaped moulded panel doors that open to a fitted interior of five short and three long drawers; over a long outer drawer; resting on bun feet; all sides are exquisitely decorated in a chinoiserie manner of trees, flowers, birds and insects.
