Fine pair Federal walnut side chairs Boston, circa 1790 yoke crestrail and scrolling ears, over pierced urn-shaped backsplat and molded seatrails, resting on square chamfered and molded legs joined by molded stretchers. (Chairs in good condition, fabric in poor condition) BH38" SH17" *Note: The design of this splat is encountered in many geographical regions and was a most popular design utilized by late 18th century American chairmakers. Commonly referred to as an 'owl's eye.'
