Fine Russian carved boar's tusk flask 18th century
intricately carved wild boar tusk, depicting scene of figures on horseback with hounds, reverse with banner emblazoned with STEP.P over portrait medallion and above crown and double coat-of-arms with crowned eagle and St. George.

Other Notes: This was brought out of Russia in 1918 by the John Pete Kucera family, which was employed by the Russian government. They are reportedly from the Winter Palace, 17th-18th century collection.

    Condition:
  • Two breaks; one is approx 3" the other 1/2". Missing section of the top and the end lacks the end cap. Typical age discoloration and normal wear consistent with age.
