Description:

French bisque porcelain covered urn, probably Niderviller first half 19th century, vase and cover with fluted tapering body trailed with medallion band and ram's-head masks, above stiff-leaf base and spreading circular socle on square plinth.

Provenance: Estate of the late Francis D. "Skeeter" McNairy, Savannah, Georgia.

    Condition:
  • Cover: appears to be missing top section, chips to edge.
    Urn: firing flaws; two hairlines on rim, one extending into interior, the other may be a firing flaw; chips along joint where pedestal attached to base; incised with no.33.
