French marble and ormolu mantel clock circa 1860, Carpentier, Paris
large urn finial with oak leaf swags over marble case housing 8-day time and strike movement with lion and scroll mounts resting on rectangular marble base with case and gilded feet.

Provenance: Property from an Asheville, North Carolina private collection.

    Condition:
  • Minor roughness to some marble corners, some filled. Three tight cracks in base center section, minor wear to gold surfaces. Small patched chip to marble finial. Pendulum and movement original to case, dial and bevelled glass in very good condition. Clock is presently running; however, we do not guarantee clocks to run once they leave our gallery.
