*Provenance: Printed on verso 'Jacques Goyon, III, name Sire of Matignon, Count of Thorigny. Baron of St. Lo, 5th son of Francois of Matignon, Count of Thorigny and of Anne Malon of Bercy. Born in Thorigny the 28th of May 1644. Knight of the Order of the King in 1688, Lieutenant-General of the Armies of the King in 1693. Married in 1675 to his niece Charlotte of Matignon, daughter of Henri of Matignon and of Marie-Francoise of Tellier. Died in Paris, the 14th of January 1725'.
