Description:

George III crystal epergne 18th/19th century
tulip-form bowl with central stem on scalloped pedestal base, issuing twelve scrolling arms and supporting sweetmeat baskets; all in faceted cut decoration.

Provenance: Property from the estate of Mr. & Mrs. E. I. du Pont, Wilmington, Delaware.
Purchased from S.J. Shrubsole, New York.

    Condition:
  • Top row of baskets have some tiny nicks to the edges. Middle row has one basket with a point by the handle that has been glued another has three chips at the star points. Lower row has two baskets with rim flakes and small nicks. The top bowl has some tiny flakes and the stem and arms appear to be in good condition.
