George III inlaid mahogany tall case clock circa 1800
broken arch bonnet with tombstone-shaped door housing eight-day time and strike movement with painted dial, above waist door flanked by quarter columns, resting on molded base with ogee bracket feet.

Provenance: Estate of Marjorie V. Gibbs, Yemassee, South Carolina.

    Condition:
  • Base molding and feet replaced. Veneer losses and areas of lifting. Paint losses on dial. Clock is in working order however, we do not guarantee timepieces to be operational after they leave the gallery.
