George III inlaid walnut and walnut veneer tall clock, Thomas French Norwich, England, late 18th century, round top with finials and plinths above astragal-glazed door ahead of brass dial signed "Tho. French, Norwich" over shaped waist door and rectangular base with cut-out bracket base.

Provenance: South Carolina collection.

    Condition:
  • waist and door have been shortened; shrinkage of pine under veneer has caused surface waviness; base may be a replacement; other minor imperfections; clock is running in gallery however we do not guarantee time pieces to be operational once they leave the gallery.
