Description:

George III sterling coffeepot London, dated 1768, baluster form, chased with reeded cresting wave band and gadroon designs flanked by scrolling wood handle and bird's-head spout; engraved with arms of probably Stevenson impaling Berryman; complete hallmarks and partially visible maker's mark over IS.
H11", and 28.0oz troy all in.

Provenance: Palm Springs, California private collection.

Other Notes: If not the Stevenson arms it could also be Werden or Adey.

    Condition:
  • Old repair to rim above where handle joins body; otherwise in very good original condition; arms are nice and crisp.
