George III sterling tea urn by Henry Greenway London, dated 1777
fruit finial atop shaped cover supported on vasiform body adorned by beaded and bellflower bands, leading to spout with ivory spigot and flanked by C-shaped handles and let-in arms, elevated on base with rosettes and foliate-laden feet; complete hallmarks on base, and partial marks on cover.
H20 1/2" W11 1/4", and 96.7oz troy

Provenance: Bluffton, South Carolina collection.

    Condition:
  • Small repair at junction of urn and pedestal; small dents and imperfections throughout; piece sits slightly uneven on base; crest is nice and crisp.
