Description: George III tortoiseshell and ivory tea caddy late 18th/early 19th century
tortoise-clad sarcophagus form with hinged lid on bombe body adorned with ivory inlay, opening to reveal divided covered compartments.

  • Condition: Some cracks but no losses to ivory. Small losses to tortoiseshell beneath edge of tablet of coffered top, and chips at two corners of base, otherwise good condition consistent with age.
