Painting has been relined. One repaired puncture 1" in diameter with subsequent inpainting located in top left portion above the ruins, another repaired puncture located in lighter sky portion of background. Spots of inpainting located on ruins below repaired puncture, on the trees to the right of the ruins, and in the light portion of sky, with a few smaller spots of retouching and inpainting in ground above pond. UV examination reveals total amount of inpainting throughout painting to be more or less than five percent. These old restorations are nicely done. Nineteenth Century frame with flaking gesso and separations to corners. Frame and painting in need of cleaning.
