Japanese parcel-gilt black lacquered collector's cabinet on stand
circa 1850
japanned cabinet with top and sides richly decorated with scenes of flowers and birds, door has molded panels embellished with a landscape in heavy gold enamel and is mounted with fine brass fittings, opening to an interior with twelve drawers of varying sizes; stand is continental and of similar decoration. (Some brass is slightly loose, minor nicks and scratches, good overall condition)
