Judge Thomas Heyward Jr. signed arrest warrant dated 12 August 1788, calling for the apprehension of William Basqueen, counter-signed by Jacob Read, unframed.

Other Notes: Thomas Heyward Jr. (1746-1809) was a Charleston, South Carolina judge who represented South Carolina in the Continental Congress. He was also a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

Jacob Read (1752-1816) was a Charleston lawyer who represented South Carolina in the Continental Congress as well as in the United States Senate (1795-1801).
