Leatherwood (1848-1920), owner of the Leatherwood Hotel in Woodruff, South Carolina. Huntboard was in the family living quarters in the hotel. Descended to his son, James H. Leatherwood (1882-1942), then to his son George Robert Leatherwood (1908-1981), by descent to the contemporary owner, who sold at auction in 2006 to the present Greenville, South Carolina private collector.
