Description:

Louis XV style Boulle bureau plat mid 19th century
turtle-form shaped top with glass surface and ormolu banding above conforming frieze with single drawer centering mask mount, on cabriole legs headed by espagnolettes and ending in sabots.

Provenance: Property deaccessioned from the Centennial Museum at the University of Texas at El Paso to benefit the Museum Collections Fund. (Accession #69.26.8)

    Condition:
  • Some tortoise shell missing, replaced with filler; brass lifting in several spots. Overall good condition, with wear consistent with age.
