*Note: Antoine Gailliard became a master cabinetmaker in September of 1781, married Marguerite-Reine Vaconet and established himself at Rue Saint-Nicolas. He eventually moved his workshop to the ground floor of a house belonging to him at 19 Rue Charenton, establishing his family there as well. He stored in another building in the garden two floors of furnishings in reserve. Gaillaird built with great success during the reign of Louis XVI many beds and chairs and continued to do so after the Revolution. He worked for many upholsterers and in 1802 and 1803 furnished many beds and much parlor furniture to Trintzius, a furniture merchant. Translated from: Ledoux-Lebard, Denise.
